A new cure
Up until now, the most widely used cure for acne has been the drug known as Roaccutane. While Roaccutane has been noted to reduce the production of sebum, the oil that is created by sebaceous glands, there are quite a few unpleasant side effects that go along with it. It also causes the acne condition to worsen in the beginning and can leave you with permanently dry skin.
There has recently been a discovery with the drug SMT D002, which has been used to treat conditions other than acne in the past. In clinical trials, SMT D002 has successfully decreased the production of sebum by 90%. It is generally safe to use because there are no associated side effects with it.
A work in progress
SMT D002 is currently being converted from a pill into a cream form so that it can be applied more easily to the acne affected areas. It is also thought that it would yield quicker results as a cream. There is a lot of excitement with SMT D002 because of its positive results in acne sufferers and the fact that it is free of negative side effects.
While SMT D002 does show a lot of promise and currently is receiving a lot of publicity and interest, people wanting to get their hands on it might have to wait patiently before it is marketed. The company behind SMT D002 will first need to find a commercial partner to help them market the drug before it becomes available to the consumer. But judging by the positive outlook for SMT D002, that wait should be a very short one.

ive been waiting for this for three years and its still not out yet!?!?!??! and why would they want to put it in topical form, then it cant cure body acne as well!!!!!!
